This time last week, the final touches were being put together for the launch of the #TrapicanaEP from our friend TE dness. Continuing with our relationship as his brand managers, CreativeNerds were commissioned to produce the full marketing campaign behind the EP with the support this time of Warner Music Group / DMR.

TE has recently become an official brand ambassador for cognac D’USSÉ and celebrated in style with a brand new Westwood Crib Session in the lead up to the release.

Joining forces with Absurd Bird & Talker Tailor, the intimate launch party was filled with good music, live performances and of course… free chicken! We even had our own D’usse infused cocktail called the ‘Trapicana’ which TE and head barman at Absurd created together.  Check out the photos below to catch the vibe!

Single Artwork — Me and My Crew
Tasked with a rather impromptu photo, the brief consisted of two words — ‘tropical vibes’.  We took a simple behind the scenes snap and turned it into a vibrant and light hearted single artwork whilst maintaining a sense of the UK urban culture. Here’s a before and after!

Menu Design — Launch Party
Talker Tailor were a great PR agency to work alongside on the launch party, together with TE, they wanted the experience for those attending to be something personal, every little touch needed to push out the EP and ensure it was part of our culture.

We put together a four page booklet that listed the food on one side and the tracklist on the other, we found that at the end of the night nearly every single one placed out had been snapped up and the attendees all wanted to own a copy for themselves. A memorable take-home piece on TE’s journey.

Invites & Flyer
Keeping artwork consistent is always a key in artist campaigns, it means the network of supporters can start to drip-feed promo content out and at a glimpse people instantly know who it is. This is how TE has been able to gain organic exposure, the fellow musicians in his circle all cross-promote one another, pulling together their joint reach and gaining as much exposure as possible. This is how as an upcoming artist you can utilise the contacts you have, fair to say that is pretty simple and straight forward, but the creative assets you share need to be captivating.

 

Instagram Marketing
Ensuring that you’re constantly sharing previews, clips and behind the scenes allows your fanbase to go on the journey with you. Keep them updated via your Instagram story, push out live streams and now you can keep them online for 24 hours which allows those who missed out to be up to date.
